REDD Team designs and manufactures universal access stairs for construction sites. They feature bolt-together aluminum stair systems purpose-built for trailers, temporary platforms, mezzanines, and phased work zones. Assemblies install fast at active jobsites, adjust cleanly to varying thresholds, and are detailed to align with OSHA’s construction standards for stairways and ladders.
Built For Jobsite Logistics

Construction schedules move and change. These stairs keep up. Universal components ship pre-engineered and bolt together on site with no field welding. Crews can set up safe access during mobilization, shift stairs as the site changes, and re-use the same kit from project to project. Height-adjustable legs and landing options make the process straightforward to meet common trailer thresholds and temporary deck elevations without custom fabrication.
OSHA Alignment in Plain Terms
REDD Team’s stairs are detailed to the key expectations in 29 CFR 1926.1052 (Stairways), so compliance is predictable at inspection:
- Stair angle: The stair angle when installed is between 30° and 50° from horizontal.
- Uniform geometry: Riser height and tread depth are uniform within each flight. The variation is ≤ ¼ inch.
- Landings at doors: A platform is required where doors open onto stairs. However, the door swing may not reduce the platform width below 20 inches.
- Temporary service: Solid, full-width treads are provided for temporary stairs.
- Rails: Stairways with 4+ risers or >30 in. rise must have at least one handrail and a stair-rail system on unprotected sides. All of the rails hold up to 200 lb. They also need to be properly surfaced and returned.
- Landing edges: Unprotected landing sides will receive guardrail systems per Subpart M.
Why Aluminum On Construction Sites?
Structural aluminum delivers the strength you need on your construction site.
The aluminum also does not corrode or require the same repaint cycles associated with painted steel. Also, the aluminum is lighter and easier to handle, which simplifies manual positioning. The material also stands up to rain, mud, and routine wash-downs, which helps reduce cleanup time between shifts
Aluminum is ideal for trailers and temporary platforms that are constantly in flux. Slip-resistant, self-draining walking surfaces maintain footing even in wet conditions.
Use Cases
- Construction trailers & field offices: Adjustable, trailer-ready stairs with quick threshold tuning. You’ll be able to get offices open safely on day one.
- Temporary decks & platforms: Reusable stairs that follow phased work and scaffold-adjacent access needs without hot work.
- Multi-project portability: Standardized kits you can easily and quickly redeploy across jobs and store compactly between projects.
Integrates With Site Access Plans
Universal access stairs pair seamlessly with REDD Team aluminum ramps, walkways, and platforms to create coherent site circulation. Use the assemblies to create easy worker access.
When you decide to work with REDD Team, you’ll gain matched finishes, fasteners, and submittals across the entire access package.
Submittals And Support
REDD Team provides dimensional drawings, installation instructions, and code-aligned submittals keyed to OSHA 1926 Subpart X so field crews and inspectors have a common reference. Standard hardware and connection details make installs repeatable for GC task-order programs and national rollouts.
