About REDD Team

Metal Outdoor StairsHow can we offer quality products at an affordable price? The biggest reason is that we’re part of Hydro, the undisputed global leader in aluminum extrusion. As a result, we have an incredibly large supply of aluminum – and we pass the savings on to our customers. You’ll not only get your stairs at a great price, you’ll also get them quickly.

Guidelines for Stair Safety

You may be surprised to learn that slip-and-fall accidents killed 34,673 people in the U.S. alone in 2016, according to the National Security Council. Falls off of stairs injure untold numbers of people each year. If you want to protect everyone who enters or exits your facility, here are some stair safety guidelines to consider.

  • Lighting – One of the biggest contributing factors to falls from stairs is poor lighting. Please make sure you have lights located near all stairs, as well as any ramps or walkways you may have on your property. As soon as possible, repair or replace any cords, fixtures or switches that are either broken or showing signs of wear.
  • Watch for slippery surfaces – You need to do whatever you can to keep wet stair surfaces as dry as possible. Aluminum is extremely safe because it drains naturally, unlike some other materials. REDD Team stairs come with slip-resistant surfaces to add an extra level of protection.
  • Get rid of clutter – Nothing poses a higher risk of a fall than clutter. Make sure your stairs, doorways and walkways remain free of obstacles.
  • Train your employees – It might seem silly to have to tell your employees to be careful when going up and down stairs, but, as you’ve learned, stair-related falls can lead to devastating results. Employees and visitors have to refrain from using cell phones, or carrying anything that can block their field of vision. In addition, they must never walk up and down stairs too quickly, or run up and down stairs.

An Unsurpassed Level of Strength

REDD Team uses 6000 series alloys to make the strength of our aluminum stairs comparable to that of steel. We use hot and cold pressing techniques, as well as other processes, to make our stairs strong enough to handle extreme loads. In fact, as temperatures get colder, our stairs get even stronger. Every person who uses your stairs will be able to do so safely and securely, no matter what the conditions may be.
