Take a look at the man camp structure you’re establishing for your remote work site. How many units do you have, and how are they being arranged? You’ll require unique man camp building access solutions for your site based on its layout, and REDD Team will be there to help.
Our experts at REDD Team have years of experience in finding the right man camp solutions worksites nationwide. We recognize the unique demands each man camp has, and we can find solutions that work for each spot.
Different Types of Stairs
The first of our access solutions involves the stairs leading to different man camp buildings. The total height of a man camp structure will vary by construction, so having a staircase that is high enough is critical.
We can build staircases of varying heights for your man camp structure. Most of our layouts will feature anywhere from two to five steps, as most man camp buildings aren’t too high. Let us know how much distance there is between the ground and the doorway to a building, and we’ll design and build a stair setup that fits that arrangement.
We can also build stairs for structures where multiple units are stacked atop one another. Some man camps have two or three identical units stacked to save space. We can build multi-level steps that cover all these segments.
For multi-level layouts, we’ll produce multiple landings based on how many floors the steps will cover. We can also create intermediate landings at spots where the steps change direction. Since multi-level steps often go back and forth, having a landing at the directional change is necessary for the user’s safety.
All these features will come with appropriate handrails and guardrails in all spaces.
Getting Quality Platforms
Your man camp structures will also require platforms where people can safely move from being outside a structure to inside. REDD Team can construct a platform that goes directly outside the doorway.
The platform can be sized based on the space around the outside and how wide the doorway is. A platform slightly wider than the door is ideal, plus the platform should be a few feet long so the steps won’t immediately start after walking outside the structure.
You can submit your man camp design and the general layout, and we’ll find a plan for a platform that fits.
Don’t Forget Ramps
Ramps can also work at man camp sites. Whether it’s for wheelchair access or for toting items on hand carts and moving them into structures, you’ll require ramps to improve how well people can access different spaces.
We can build ramps for your man camp based on state codes and OSHA and ADA guidelines. The slope for each ramp and the necessary landings will vary by situation, but we’ll develop ramps that work with all these rules.
Everything we do for your man camp access needs at REDD Team will be about improving how well people can get around a space while staying safe. Your man camp layout will be unique, so having someone who understands how to plan a thorough camp will be necessary.
