How High Does the Landing Go?

If you require a landing, placing it in the middle is ideal for providing an easy spot for use.
For ADA purposes, a landing will be necessary for every twelve feet of rise. An optional idea is to have a landing at every six to ten feet of vertical rise, although that would work best if you’ve got enough room for it.

For example, if your stairs go in one direction and need to move to the left or right, you’ll require a landing at the spot where the steps shift.
