REDD Team stands out from all other aluminum stair manufacturers in that our products set the standard for quality. Whether you’re looking for stairs or any other components of an accessibility system, you can rest assured that ours will stand the test of time. In addition, you won’t ever have to worry about breaking your budget because our products are very affordable.

Why Choose REDD Team?

Aluminum Stair ManufacturersOne of the most important reasons to partner with REDD Team is our commitment to safety – as well as code compliance. All of our stairs, handrails and other products are designed with safety in mind. Many handrails are little more than decorative accessories, without offering any true sturdiness. REDD Team handrails are strong enough to help anyone from falling, and can be made in whatever size and shape you need.

We’re proud to be associated with Hydro, the world’s largest extruder of aluminum. Thanks to this relationship, we have a nearly unlimited supply of aluminum – and we pass the savings on to our customers. No matter what types of stairs, ramps, walkways or platforms you may need, we’ll provide them to your exact specifications, and at a price you can easily afford.

We design products that can be used in virtually any environment. These products can be installed in minutes, and can also be reconfigured or relocated should the need ever arise.

Helping Ensure OSHA and ADA Compliance

Every product we make is compliant with the stringent requirements of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We have extensive knowledge of both, and will make sure you don’t risk potentially substantial fines.

It’s very important that you’re familiar with OSHA and ADA rules so that you can make sure you’re in total compliance. But these rules are very extensive, and can be complicated as a result. Here’s just a small sample of OSHA and ADA rules as they pertain to handrails.

OSHA Requirements

  • Handrails must be strong enough to help break a person’s fall.
  • If you have four or more steps, or your steps rise more than 30 inches, there must be at least one handrail present.
  • If your steps are between 44 and 88 inches in width, you must have at least one stair railing per open side, and one handrail per enclosed side.
  • Railings and handrails must provide a minimum of three inches of clearance between any other objects.

ADA Requirements

  • If you have stairs or ramps that have an elevation change of six inches or more, you must install handrails. They must continue for as long as the stairs run.
  • Grips cannot be obstructed in any way, must have rounded edges, and cannot have any rough or sharp surfaces.

If this seems like a lot to try and digest, it’s only a small fraction of what you’ll find in the OSHA and ADA guidelines. But at REDD Team, we take the responsibility of knowing these guidelines off your plate when it comes to stairs and the other components of an accessibility system. We design and manufacture all of our products to meet OSHA and ADA requirements, as well as many other types of building codes.
