How We Can Help With ADA Compliance

Aluminum Handicap Access RampsIn order to make sure your building is compliant – and to reduce the risk of your organization either facing hefty fines or costly lawsuits – it will be very important to understand all ADA regulations. But doing so can be an incredibly time-consuming undertaking.

When it comes to the ramps that provide access into and out of your facility, REDD Team can take that burden off of your shoulder. Our Universal Wheelchair Ramp System complies with all ADA mandates, and is used in a wide variety of settings. These are just a few.

  • Healthcare facilities
  • Retail establishments
  • Hotels
  • Sports and entertainment venues
  • Schools
  • And many others

All of our ramps are long lasting, and can be easily reconfigured whenever the need arises. If you have to move your ramp to another part of your facility due to renovations, you can easily do that as well.

Features of Our Ramp Systems

Here are just a few of the reasons you should consider a handicap access ramp from REDD Team.

  • Minimal assembly is needed, and no field welding will be necessary.
  • You can quickly add or take away sections.
  • Our ramps have adjustable slopes and heights.
  • REDD Team ramps offer a slip-resistant surface, no matter how much rain may fall.
  • The handrails are smooth and continuous, and safe to touch regardless of the outside temperature.
  • All ramps carry durability and wear warranties.
  • Our ramps can accommodate not only wheelchairs, but also walkers, scooters and just about any other mobility aid you can imagine.

How to Make Sure Your Building is ADA Compliant

When it comes to wheelchair ramps, the ADA is extremely specific. Ramps must be constructed in a way that they have as little slope as possible. In fact, the maximum rise can only be 30 inches off of the ground.

If you’re constructing a new building, your ramp can have no more than 1 inch of rise for every foot the ramp runs. If you are purchasing a ramp for an older structure, you may be able to install a steeper ramp if you’re limited in terms of space. Also, the landings must be at least 3 feet wide and 5 feet long.

As you can see, ADA compliance is very detailed. But at REDD Team, we already know all of those details. Just let us know what kind of building you have – whether you’re constructing a new one or you already have a building – and we’ll work with you to build a ramp that meets your exact specifications.
