Aluminum building accessibility systems from REDD Team might just help you sleep a lot better at night. Why? Because you’ll know that, when it comes to the entrances and exits of your facility, you’ll be in total compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). You’ll also meet all other local, state and federal accessibility requirements. Regardless of the kinds of mobility challenges they may face, everyone will have secure, easy access.

Safety is Always Priority 1

Aluminum Building AccessibilityAt REDD Team, all of our accessibility system components are made of the highest quality aluminum available. Our products are just as strong as steel, yet they’re one-third the weight. You can assemble our ramps, stairs, walkways and other products very quickly, and very easily. Unlike steel, you won’t have to perform any spot welding in the field.

An arguably even bigger reason for choosing REDD Team accessibility products is safety. You want to make sure everyone who comes to your facility is safe, of course. Aluminum will help ensure that safety. Other materials can become slippery on rainy days, but not aluminum. It does an incredible job of draining, and will always offer secure footing.

These are just some of the industry codes our ramps, stairs and other products either meet or exceed:

  • Life Safety 101
  • SBC
  • SREF
  • UBC
  • BOCA
  • IBC

We’re Experts in All Facets of the ADA

Getting back to the ADA, it will be extremely important that your facility is in total compliance. Not only is it simply the right thing to do, it will also help you avoid the potentially devastating consequences of non-compliance.

There are plenty of stories of businesses paying harsh fines because they were in violation of the ADA. Even worse, many businesses have faced extremely expensive lawsuits because they weren’t compliant. Take those risks out of the equation by turning to REDD Team for all of your accessibility system needs.

You have to take a lot of things into consideration when installing wheelchair ramps on your property – if you want to be meet ADA requirements. These are just a few.

  • All ramps must be not only slip-resistant, but also resistant to pooling water. Aluminum has both characteristics.
  • A ramp that extends longer than 30 feet must also contain an intermediate platform. We can make sure you meet this requirement as well.
  • Ramps have to have edge protection so users don’t slip, and the tops and bottoms have to have at least a 5-foot by 5-foot area that is unobstructed.
  • Ramps either have to be a minimum of 36 or 48 inches wide, depending on the state in which your facility is located. Get in touch with an expert with REDD Team and we’ll quickly be able to tell you what your state requires.

These are just some of the many, many ADA mandates that pertain to wheelchair ramps. At REDD Team, we know all of these requirements – and all other ADA requirements as well. If you have any questions at all, we’ll have the answers.
