Every athletic venue needs a sturdy set of bleachers where people can sit and enjoy the game. However, those same people also need an easy way to access bleachers. REDD Team recognizes the need for a safe and straightforward approach to helping people reach the bleachers, which is why we produce high-quality aluminum bleacher access stairs.

Aluminum Bleacher Access StairsWe created these stairs to help spectators easily get to and from the bleachers. We can produce bleachers that blend with the rest of the steps, plus they can be measured to fit in with your current setup. You can let us know what you require from your access stairs, and we will prepare a custom-designed setup that works for you.

How Are the Stairs Positioned?

Your access stairs can be positioned on either end of your bleachers. You can keep the side that needs the stairs open without adding a net barrier or other features. You can always place a net barrier to the side of the stairs after installation, but that is an optional idea.

The stairs should be arranged where the bottom is on the surface level and the top is at the same level as the main walking surface at the bottom of the bleachers. REDD Team can prepare your stairs based on whatever specific measurements you hold. We custom-build all our aluminum bleacher access stairs in the United States and will ship the necessary parts for assembly to your site.

What Size Should the Stairs Be?

You can also get stairs sized in any form you wish. Most situations only require two to three steps, but you can add more if your bleachers are slightly higher.

The steps should be about 7-3/4 inches high and at least 10 inches deep. You can use these measurements to plan your stairs based on what you see fit.

How Should the Stairs Be Arranged?

The stairs must be arranged with features to make them more functional. To start, you’ll require some handrails on the sides. The handrails should be about 34 to 38 inches off the ground, enough for most people to safely handle without bending over. The handrails should also extend outward by a few inches past the end of the bleachers, allowing a safe transition spot.

Some openings can also go underneath each step. Since many bleachers are outdoors, you’ll require enough drainage so they won’t risk flooding when it rains. There should be enough openings around the stairs to keep water from collecting, but the openings should be small enough to where no one will risk slipping into anything and getting stuck.

The surface should also be designed so people won’t slip on anything. A grooved surface or a space with enough gripping anchors or openings can provide a safe space where people won’t risk slipping as they go up and down the steps.
